The questions and answers below pertain to the ezSolarLoan application, approval and dashboard system found at

In the application flow, the system will show you what loan terms, interest rates and estimated payments you qualify for after you provide your:

  • Name
  • Installation address and contact address if different
  • Mobile phone number
  • Email address
  • Employment information

If you have a co-borrower, you will also need to provide the same information on their behalf.

After you see your loan options and select one, you will need to verify several pieces of information.  These include:

  • Social Security Number: by typing it in
  • Mobile phone number: by receiving a code and typing it in
  • Email address: by receiving a code and typing it in
  • Identity: by uploading a photo ID
  • Solar company name:  by typing in 4-digit SCI Code or verifying their name if responding to an email invitation

In some cases, you may need to verify additional items, and the system will let you know if you need to upload:

  • Verification of income
  • Verification of ownership
  • Letters of explanation

The ezSolarLoan application begins with a “soft credit pull” which will NOT affect your credit score (although you may see it on a detailed report of your credit inquiries).  If you decide to move ahead by requesting your loan documents, then a “hard credit pull” will be made, and this credit inquiry may affect your credit score.

After you apply and select which loan term and interest rate option you would like, and after you are fully approved, then you request and sign loan documents.

You will use your Borrower Dashboard to review and sign your loan documents using DocuSign.  During the application process, you will be prompted to create a password for your Borrower Dashboard account.  Please make a note of that password!

If there is a co-borrower on the loan, they will receive their loan documents directly to their email address, after you sign your loan documents.

Note that no money will change hands immediately after you sign loan documents.  That comes later, and you will approve all payment requests from your solar company.

Yes, you need to be working with a solar company that ezSolarLoan has provided a Solar Company Identifier (SCI) Code to.  You will need to provide that 4-digit SCI Code during the verification stages of the application, unless you clicked a link provided in an email invitation from your solar company.

The ezSolarLoan system will automatically send you text messages and email notifications every step of the way to give you instructions on what to do next.
